The BJP candidate from the Barabanki Lok Sabha constituency, Priyanka Singh Rawat, had established a huge lead of 41091 votes over her nearest Congress rival and the then sitting MP P L Punia in the Zaidpur assembly segment in 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
